This month isn't just about awareness of Disability, it's about empowerment.

This month we're not just raising awareness, we're empowering our teams from across the business by amplifying their stories and take pride in their experiences.

Knowing how our brains and bodies work differently is the only way we can truly back one another. We’re taking it on by learning together, so we can succeed together.

Disability Pride Month is a moment for disabled people to come together as a community and for our allies to stand loudly with us.

Learn About The Disability Pride Flag

Each colour of the Disability Pride Month flag represents a specific experience or need within the disabled community. The Disability Pride Flag was designed by Ann Magill. The banded arrangement of the colours represents the barriers many disabled people face and have to navigate through.

Why the Sunflower Lanyard?

Some disabilities, conditions or chronic illnesses are not immediately obvious to others. By wearing The Sunflower Lanyard, this indicates to others that this person may have a condition or disability that is not always obvious and may need extra support, help or extra time.

How You Can Support

People choose to wear the Sunflower to discreetly indicate that they have a hidden disability and may need some help, assistance or more time. You can support them by asking if you can help, being kind, listening closely, having patience, not judging and showing respect.
